The 3Damper 100-L2 uses 12 EPU 46 elastomer modules manufactured with Carbon DLS technology to progressively absorb the forces transmitted by the mooring lines, reducing shocks, noise and peak loads on cleats, fairleads and mooring points.
Recommended for boats up to 20 m in length, with a maximum displacement of 65 tonnes and mooring lines up to Ø28 mm. Final selection must also consider hull type, wind, waves, surge, berth exposure and the configuration of the mooring system.
The 12 elastomer modules work in series to cushion shocks caused by boat movement and deliver a gradual, distributed response.
Forces are transferred axially along the damper, without generating torsion that could damage the mooring line over time or place abnormal stress on the connections.
The EPU 46 modules are manufactured with Carbon DLS technology; the frame and metal components are made from marine-grade AISI 316 stainless steel.
The two connecting shackles rotate independently, preventing boat movement from twisting the mooring lines around themselves.
